Fable audit · 2026-07-25
Full-system audit of the PUM catalog by Claude Fable 5 — four parallel passes over (1) the 60-row claims register, (2) the mandala + calculator mathematics, (3) all published pages and research notes, (4) the build pipeline and serving setup. Complements the earlier Codex audits (phases 1–2, ledger arithmetic) which predate the mandala rebuild and the register’s growth from 40 to 60 rows.

Headline results
- Mathematics: clean. All 1,696 mandala cells recomputed independently — zero wrong values. Fixture current. Geometry invariants hold. All 39 corner-panel identities verified exact under the repeating-decimal reading (one requires the 360-day year).
- Register mechanics: clean. CSV↔HTML in perfect 60-row sync; all cross-references resolve; no structural or quoting hazards.
- Content: 9 factual errors found in our own research notes — all fixed (see below). The load-bearing conclusions all survived; in two cases the corrected numbers strengthen them.
- System: pipeline correct, serve healthy; the offline share bundle was not fully self-contained (fixed).

Structural fixes
- Corner panels restored to exact verbatim strings (5 abbreviations reverted).
- Share bundle now truly self-contained: modal poster image inlined as a data URI; relative links neutralized inside the offline copy.

SEASONSconstant that contradicted the real layout; unusedvalueAt()in the calculator carrying two latent divisor bugs; orphaned photo-crop assets). - Audit-mode disclaimer added to the mandala page (was missing there).
- Sub-directory pages’ navigation links repaired (five dead links in the lab proposal).
- Notes 18 and 20 re-linked from the index (were shipping but unreachable).
What passed spot-checks unchanged
C13 sonoluminescence dating (Frenzel–Schultes 1934), C28 Schwabe mean (~11.0 yr), C16’s IAU value (25,771.58 yr) and the AD-686 solve (recomputed exactly), the PART-17 line-411/413 quote (verbatim against source), the mandala modal’s 108× distance arithmetic, Moon diameter 2,159.1 mi, hydrogen melting point −259.16 °C.
Audit-mode note: fixes above correct our catalog’s own reporting. No source-model claims were altered; the register’s verdict labels were unaffected except C47 (verifiability token replaced by a proper AWAITING-TEST status).
