Fable audit · 2026-07-25

Full-system audit of the PUM catalog by Claude Fable 5 — four parallel passes over (1) the 60-row claims register, (2) the mandala + calculator mathematics, (3) all published pages and research notes, (4) the build pipeline and serving setup. Complements the earlier Codex audits (phases 1–2, ledger arithmetic) which predate the mandala rebuild and the register’s growth from 40 to 60 rows.

Raw reports: _research/fable_audit_{1_claims, 2_math, 3_content, 4_system}.md (repo-internal).

Errors found and fixed

where error fix
C16 + note 22 precession drift stated as ~1.1 yr/century ~11.3 yr/century (T² coefficient misread)
note 22 epoch table Plato 25,860 / Hipparchus 25,830 — impossible under the page’s own monotonic model Plato ≈26,040 / Hipparchus ≈26,020 / Bronze Age ≈26,290 (full P03 recompute; ancient epochs were farther from 25,920, strengthening the conclusion)
C17 + note 24 two different “actual” Sun diameters cited (865,370 vs 864,938 mi) standardized on IAU nominal 864,576 mi (radius 695,700 km); 864,000 is 0.07% low
C21 51.844° attributed to Petrie’s measurement Petrie’s mean is 51.867° ± 2′; 51.843° is the theoretical 14/11 seked slope
C53 Vilnius radiocarbon attributed away from Greenyer it is Greenyer’s finding; the “time-dilated carbon” framing is Jordan Collin’s
C32 / C08 Shoulders “peer-reviewed-ish from 1970s” self-published 1987 monograph + 1991–92 patents; EV work from ~1980
notes 23/24 + register corpus size “~951k words” (and one “1.7 million”) recounted from disk: ~918k (patents on disk are ~124k, not ~155k)
note 22/23 “25,920 enters via Blavatsky 1888” Secret Doctrine prints the related 25,868; the rounded 360 × 72 canon consolidates in later esoteric writers
note 24 Michell’s Dimensions of Paradise dated 1971 1988

Structural fixes

What passed spot-checks unchanged

C13 sonoluminescence dating (Frenzel–Schultes 1934), C28 Schwabe mean (~11.0 yr), C16’s IAU value (25,771.58 yr) and the AD-686 solve (recomputed exactly), the PART-17 line-411/413 quote (verbatim against source), the mandala modal’s 108× distance arithmetic, Moon diameter 2,159.1 mi, hydrogen melting point −259.16 °C.

Audit-mode note: fixes above correct our catalog’s own reporting. No source-model claims were altered; the register’s verdict labels were unaffected except C47 (verifiability token replaced by a proper AWAITING-TEST status).
